{Learning Along the Way}

A Literacy Blog by Christy Valyou, Reading Specialist K-5

About

I am a K-5 Reading Specialist who is passionate about literacy education and professional learning. I’m continually inspired by the educators in my ever growing PLN in my school district, as well as on Twitter and Edmodo. As the facilitator of the Writer’s Workshop Collaborative Teaching Project (CTP), I will be learning alongside teachers as they study and implement Units of Study in Opinion, Information, and Narrative Writing by Lucy Calkins and Colleagues this year across grades K-5. I am learning more and more about integrating technology to improve teaching and learning and am committed to leading the way for my students to become global learners and thinkers. Come learn with me!
